floor mats for clackacraft

Alright heres a stupid question. Anyone out there have floor mats in the rowers section of their clack. I picked up four of them and when I went to put them in the boat found out that the foot brace on the floor gets in the way so you can't lay them all out flat. How do you get around this? Do you just remove the foot brace or do you cut out the floor mats to fit around the brace? Thanks in advance.

Assume you are refering to those rubber snap together mats? I've got them. And have been trying to decide what to do about that myself.

I don't want to remove the foot brace. I'm thinking cut to fit around the foot brace and Bo's pedal. And, if necessary, lash the mats together.

Any better ideas?

Yes SpeyFisher. The rubber floor mats. I am thinking about cutting them myself but it seems like I have seen them somewhere without being cut.
