I have decided to get his pontoon and have been looking around for prices and have found one new for $475 no tax, no shipping. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Sounds like you found a good deal.

Something I did was tell the guy I was shopping around. I asked him what he could throw in to help seal the deal. I got a nice double action pump just for asking and about the same deal you describe above (no tax, free shipping).
