Couple of stonflies...

I'm using tinsel under V thread to add some shinyness. I'm also just extending the wing case for the antenna Thoughts? Anyone do anything quite this before? I think I'll do some in olive... And maybe some mayflies.

Nice ties those look great. What did you use for the wingcase on the first fly? Is that just gray or white biots? I am definitely going to copy that pattern.

Very nice. I've never been a huge fan of biot tails on stoneflies. If you look at pics of the naturals, they just aren't that wide. I have been substituting moose mane or some equivalent hair of the appropriate shade for the tails. I think that it gives a more natural appearance and is easier to tie in anyway.
