I'm thinking about buying a new Fish Cat 9-IR and wondering how to attach a bicycle wheel. On a previous boat I used a bicycle part to clamp the fork to round tubing under the seat as if it were the handle bar. However, the current Fish Cats use square tubing for the seat support. Has anyone figured out how to do it?

Hi Bob,
Looks like you should be able to fasten that part of the goose neck to the motor bracket in back some way and use something similar to what you had. You've got more strength with a steel frame and might be able to tack something on with a wire feed. I'm sure you and your fishin' buds can come up with something. The fish Cat is a lot heavier than our otters so I don't think you want to use the same set up as we do. If and when I go in to Lenice or other walk-in I'll probably just pack in with my Super Cat.

Hi Jim,
Part of me thinks that FC would be too heavy to move around at my age. Your brother was speaking highly of the Super Cat; perhaps I should give something like that more thought. Maybe I'll get a look at yours if you make it to Lenice. Bob

Bob, he's got a Cat 60 and if no one is using it for the trip maybe you can try it. I'm using a Cat 50 which is a good size for you, I've also got a new 60 still in the carton. Make you a good deal on the Cat 50, still in great condition because I usually use the Otter and with my size I'll probably go back to a 60. The 50 is better for backpacking because of tube length, especially dropping down a hill or bank. Lenice will be getting some triploids mid April or so. Not sure when you guys are scheduled, see if I can pull it up. Just checked, 4-26 so the trips should be there.
