I was on Oahu in mid February and hooked up with Duff for a day of bonefishing.
Duff introduced me to some great fishing spots. At one of his secret spots I hooked 3 bonefish and landed 1 all within an hour or so. Good stuff. :thumb:
I was not lucky enough to land the biggest I hooked, but cannot complain since I got the action -- it stripped a lot of line before it suddenly turned and swam very quickly right at me, I just did not reel in fast enough and it got off. Wow, the excitement though!
A stripping basket is a must; good thing Duff provided me one since I did not bring mine. Well, another thing to bring to Hawaii next trip.
Duff and Ollie told me that there's great bone fishing on Molokai. I'll have to hook up with them next time.
