Hello Gents
I need some clarification in terminology of a pattern I am tying.
It says to "stack wrap" the chenille......
My question is: What is stack wrapping??
Thanks for any info.

I would think that would mean concentric touching wraps... Like a standard Wooley Bugger.

Does the pattern call for more than one type of chennille? If so it amy mean something completely different.

Thanks, Mike.
That is pretty much what I thiught it meant, but thought it best to check with the experts. It is a single strand and color wrapped around a piece of spiderwire that is tied between two hooks ala tandem rig. Seems like it might have a tendancy to want unwrap or twist itself up but the recipe just calls for a tight stack wrap up the joining spiderwire.
thanks again

I think you're on the right track, but I'll throw this out there too. When you use something like polar chenille, you can wrap it slightly loose (or more accurately, not tightly), and then push it down the shank like you're packing spun deer hair. This way you get some density to the body, as that stuff is basically just a spun core w/o any mass in the center

But since this is regular chenille, that doesn't make as much sense. Unless they're trying to cut down on movement a little, at which point trying to "pack" chenille would probably give you a little denser, stiffer body. Just a thought.
