Yes, I see there is an earlier post on mats for a Clackacraft. I also have a Clacka. I called them about their mats and after our discussion the said that their mats wouldn't work for what I was looking to do. They said go to Home Depot and buy some carpet and that their mats were slippery, pretty much used to keep items off the wet floor. All I am looking for are some suggestions for non-slip mats to protect against studded boots and also that are slip free for regular felt. Any advise would really be appreciated

I also have a Clack. And am not entirely satisfied with the mats that I have. Four of those snap together waffle looking mats.
I suppose outdoor carpet would work. Although it's gonna get wet. I would like to find a source for those industrial rubber mats that restaurants use.
If you come up with anything better, let me know.

Consider that outdoor fake grass looking stuff. Pretty heavy, so it tends to stay put, and pretty grippy.

I have a Clack with "connecting waffle" mats as well and find them to be just ok. I've not found them slippery (yet) and I don't use studded boots so they work for my needs. Frankly I'm surprised to hear that Clack said their mats would not work for slip and studs, I could see how they could get chewed up a bit with studs.
The heavy duty restaurant mats seem like they would be perfect for this application. Maybe a restaurant supply store would sell them?

You can also go to almost any feed store and buy rubber mats that they use as floor liners in horse trailers, they are fairly cheap also I think

I'll check those mats out for the orse trailers Thanks
Purchased the 1/4" stall mat at Wilco a few weeks ago. Comes on a roll 4' wide, cut to length desired. I got 6' to cover my boat, weighed in at just >30#. Got it mainly for stud protection but will also serve to protect lines from the non slip sand coating on the floor. Haven't had a chance to field test it yet but it does hold in place and seems coarse enough to give felt a grip. $ 4.99 a foot on sale, reg. $ 6.99 a foot.

Haven't tried it but apparently chef matting (used in commercial kitchens) works well.
