Thanks for the recipe, I'll gather the materials and tie some up. Is this fly an imitation of something specific in your home waters? It appears to be a caddis imitation for us but might translate into something different in your part of the world.
What flies do you use to catch brown trout in lakes and ponds?

Hi!
The fly is not an imitation of something specific here in Sweden, its my own imagination pattern :)
I use dry flies, type klinkhammer, muddlers or mayflies
streamers type woolly worm, woolly bugger or big muddlers etc to catch brown trout.

Micke,
The nymph you have shared with us should be very successful in our rivers and streams. We have popular trout foods that your fly imitates in a suggestive manner especially during the summer and fall.

We use the same flies as you do to catch rainbows and browns in lakes.

Do you have fly shops in your area from which to purchase tying materials or do you buy on line? Is flyfishing a popular sport in Sweden? Do you have plenty of fishing opportunity or is it limited?

Hi!
I hope you catch some fish on the nymph pattern,:) yes I think its the same flies pattern to catch some brown trout and rainbow we use:thumb:

I have some fly shops but the have not so much fly tying supplies I want:( so I buy the most material on line from Usa etc.
Yes, fly fishing is popular here in Sweden, and fly casting to.
We can fish the season from April to the autumn season, and you can catch Salmon,Sea trout ,Brown trout, gray line, rainbow, char, perch, pike etc and in the winter season you can jig.

We have great streams, lakes and ponds and beautiful water in the mountain:thumb:

Thanks for letting me be curious Micke! Sweden sounds great, would love to visit one day.

Most of our streams open in June for trout. A few are open year-round but aren't very fishable until the snow melt concludes usually early summer. Most of my stream fishing is done July thru October. Spring and Fall I'm usually lake fishing. My favorite are mountain lakes and streams.

I'll tie up some of your nymphs and fish them this summer, I'll let you know how well I do!
