This tool will almost replace your scissors.

feel free to copy,

It's a stitchpicker, available from your mum's hobby stuff or your local haberdashery store;
fits in your palm; attach a keyring which fits your pinkie with a piece of wire;
works as a scissors for fast tying and you won't even notice it's there.

Good idea. Bodkin and thread cutting in one.

I'll skip the pinkie attachment... I prefer to hunt through my pile of hair and feathers for my tools :)

My father in law taught me how to tie back in the early 80's. He always used this tool as well as I do now. I do agree it works great!
