Sooo nice to be out in the sun all day after the winter we are still getting through. Eagles circling overhead, mink running around on the banks. My first time fishing the Clark. Floated the ten miles above St. Regis. Tried dries and streamers with no success (one rise to a skwala pattern in 6+ hours hours of effort by one guy on the boat) and only caught whitefish with nymphs:clown:.
Loads of bugs coming off in the afternoon but saw only a handful of fish feeding on the surface. Talked with three other boats at the takeout who had the same success.
