Gamakatsu Emerger Hooks

These are relatively new to the market. Just curious if anyone has tried these yet and what your thoughts are? I've got some emerger patterns I like to tie and these look perfect for those with the flat surface near the eye.

Interesting hook. The wide gap is a plus as long as the wire type can support it without straightening or breaking. There are a variety of hooks from different manufacturers with the same basic configuration. I think this started with hooks designed for Klinkhammer patterns.

Tim, I believe your right about the origin of this hook type. I know Partridge has a similar shape. I do like the vertical eye on this one though.
