IMX GRAPHITE BLANKS 13' 9/10

Hi Washington Fly fishing,

First post on this forum as I am looking for opinion on the above blank/rod. I am looking to build a fast action 13' spey rod and this blank is on the short list. Has anyone any first hand experience?

Incidentally this will be my first build so I will no doubt be back in touch.

The Loomis IMX 13' 9/10 is a pretty stout, fast action 2-hander. It likes lines of about 850 grs, give or take 50 grs.

Thanks for the reply FT. 850 grains is heavy, too heavy for my needs. I will look for a lighter blank.
