Hello I am new to the board.
My 5 month pregnant wife agreed to go fishing with me. So we are off to catch some sunshine over the mountains and hopefully land some nice fish. I heard Nunnally and Lenice are fishing well but I have only been to Nunnally once and can't recall how the hike in was. So I wanted to know which lake is easier to walk into for a pregnant lady.
Don't you gentlemen worry. I'll carry all her gear.
Secondly is Crab Creek worth fishing? Maybe this is better for another thread.
Thanks and regards,

The trail into Lenice is paved with gravel, making it much easier to traverse than the ones into Nunnally (which are sandy, rocky, cross country). However, Nunnally is easier to fish from shore.
At Lenice you really need a tube or toon to fish effectively.
Never fished Crab Creek, but by the looks of it, you would have lots of brush to contend with.
Maybe modern ladies have more pioneer spirit than the one I married 35 years ago, but I wouldn't recommend taking her unless she likes wind, dust, ticks and the occasional rattlesnake.
My wife walked into Lenice with me once shortly after we were married (just to see where I was going w/o her so often). After taking a quick look, she turned around and said, 'I don't get it', and has not been back since.
My recommendations about taking a wife fishing were posted on the Fly Fishing Forum yesterday, under the thread 'I need a game plan...'

Troutangler - "I don't get it." Classic. My wife certainly doesn't mind camping but the accomodations at the Nunnally chain are sorely lacking. She's not quite into ticks, snakes, scorpions, sagebrush, wind and dust.
BTW - Spent part of the day on Nunnally yesterday. Three to the boat, trifecta: Bow, brown & tiger. Tiger was one of the recent plants, brown was the biggest at about 18". Hit him on a SJ worm in 15' of H2O. Missed a few others and LDRed a couple. Pretty nice day. Water temps are up a tad, 54-55.

Good going at Nunnally! Yes a SJW works well this time of year, as the lake is turning over almost every day and the bloodworms are being exposed on the bottom.
I'm heading over there next week to fish Chironomids and Bionic Worms.
Yes the wife really said that and I think it is why we don't see too many women and children over there.
Nowadays my wife's idea of a fishing and camping trip is eating caviar on her Lox and Bagel, while still in bed at the Ritz Carlton.
