How do you palmer marabou, like you would for a skagit minnow? I have never used this technique before. Which part do you tie in, the tip or the stem? Thanks.

Tie in the tip, sweep the barbules back with your fingers, or you can strip one side of the feather, but that makes for a more thinly dressed fly.

This thread was interesting and helpful awhile back, with a nice trick and pictorial from TallFlyGuy, especially for thick stemmed marabou.

I would also follow the marabou with a counter-rib. Marabou stems are fragile.
