Hello
Has anyone added a second seat to a 10' one with the large pontoons?
Not looking to do it all the time, just to take the wife out on the lake or the river some times. Looks like I might be able to slip the frame back and add one in front. Trying to justify the 10' and keep everyone happy!
Thanks

Rick, I was curious if this was possible also as I have a 10' guide model. I was thinking about putting one on the stern for my 7 year old (stern because it is where the frame is connected and because it has a small floor.) 1000lb capacity on those big tubes shouldn't be a problem for some mellow water with a passenger I wouldn't think. NRS has some seat mounts that might work.

Tom
I have the guide also and will mount a second seat this weekend if I can get the welder from work. I am going to weld on to the back top and bottom tubes for the mount. That way I can just replace the two back cross tubes when I want a back seat or not. Will try to get it done Saturday and try it out Sunday, will keep you posted.
Tried to come up with a pin connection but could not find anyone that could bend the 1" EMT tight enought.
Rick
Rick, take the EMT to a custom muffler shop. They should be able to bend it tighter then a standard electrical pipe bender for you.

Hello
Here are the picture of my second seat. Did not get a chance to try it out yet but the mount seems plenty strong. Will let you know how it rides after I get it out in the water. Looks a little tale heavy but we knew it would be.
The winter project will be to weld up a new frame making the front deck a little smaller so the weight of two people is more centered.

Nice Project Rick, Please let me know how it works. Do you have a rear platform for your passenger? How does your passenger effect the balance of the boat?
