SFR: Sandbars and underwater hazards at Vantage

Just curious if anyone has any info as to where the sandbars or other extremely shallow spots are that would be dangerous to boats both up and down lake (river, whatever) are at or could anyone point me in the direction as to where to find a map...Was crusing around today and eased off the throttle to let the depthfinder kick on to find i was in 7ft. of water, sure increases the pucker factor.

The only bar near Vantage that I'm aware of is south of the Island that is south of the bridge. Depending on water level a big sand bar can come up. It's between the island and the boat launch at the state park.

Depends on water levels, I see 5 different "bars". There are some fench posts on the self that used to be orchards above and below the island before the dam. Hopefully you catch it real low for a free education soon.

I not sure what your chasing down there but slow cruising in 15' or less....might be worth it if conditions allow for "sighting". Then again if your after the Kings it's a whole different deal.
