Huh...?

Fish.......?![]()
So the other day when I was out getting skunked on the EFL. I had a lot of time to think. And one of my thoughts was...Whats a fly fisherman's worst enemy? Is it the fish? After all, we are hunting them. We want to fool them to bite our jagged, metal, hooks. So we can fight the fish to shore. Simply to eat or release it. And if we release it, we sometimes like to hold it, and take a snap shot.If fish could think, thats gotta piss them off. I mean we may like fish, but they sure wouldn't like us right? Does that make us the enemy? Sometimes you may hear a fisherman say "lets go kill some fish today".And as bold as that sounds, thats the idea right? Even for a catch and release senerio, were still out to get em right? So here's the question. If it's not the fish thats are enemy, then what or who is?

I usually don't forget a face. But I'll make an exception in your case.

up here it would be tweekers for me. down in florida it would be people that are out hunting and shoot at anything that moves, particulary fishermen walking down to the lake.
It's a long list an in no order.
1. the wife
2. the kids...and their extra activities schedule
3. work
4. a fishing buddy bailing out
5. in-laws
6. honey do-list
7. the list goes on and on....but every one should know the worst enemy is always yourself....right?
A friend will bail you out of jail, a good friend will get you out and get the charges dropped, but your best friend will be sitting next to you in jail saying "that was f*#king awesome"
in your case possibly loneliness and running out of a high viscosity hand lotion at a critical moment?
my worst enemy is and always will be myself.
non selective harvest, hands down.

Tediousthumper, you may just want to look into PETA. Great organization for that sort of thought and one less person on the river during steelhead months....![]()

Common sense. Its always telling me I shouldn't buy this gear, or travel there to fish, or I should be doing work instead of fishing, and so on.
