    Rod Building Conclave Review

We spent the past weekend in Sequim, at the Rod Builders Conclave hosted by Batson Enterprises (Rainshadow rod blanks). What an awesome event. Great BBQ lunch hosted by Pacific Bay International, and the classes were phenomenal. We went to Applying Finish, Feather Inlays, and Weaving. We learned many interesting things, I must admit that this weekend has changed my mind about feather inlays. I’ll be starting to build out a 9’ – 7wt Rainshadow blank shortly, and I will be trying out some feather inlay techniques that I saw.
Anybody have some good tech tips for feather inlays they want to share?

I so badly wanted to go, but the world prevented it with a broken water heater, and a class that got in the way. Its great to hear that someone from here went.

Andy is a whiz at feather inlays, and sure makes it look easy. Go for it!

I'm jealous, sounds like there was a lot of good information being passed around, thanks for the report!
