    First try at some Intruders

Last year was my first with the 2 hander and I swung mostly bunny spey type patterns. I wanted to branch out this year and tie some more "intruder" style flies w/ stingers. This is my first attempt and my first time playing around with rhea and lady amherst, what looks good and what needs work?

Looks good. You may want to be sparser at the head to prevent crowding, but looks just fine.

they look pretty good, look on u tube under "skagit master", Ed Ward has a video on tying it fast.
I need to get going on a few also. It is going to be my go-to fly this year.

Those look like good flies, but I wouldn't call that pattern an intruder. Those look like 'pick yer pocket' flies. Definitely fishy!

I like them. I'm lucky to have a couple of local friends that have tied those "pick yer pocket" or smaller intruder flies and shared some with me. I also tie some bigger, longer, articulated intruders that I like to fish. Fish yours and see what the fish think!

    GLSteelheader,

I'll fish them if you don't want them.
