Mrs. Radish has drawn a line in the sand...
If I don't start putting some hatchery fish in the freezer, she is going to start publicly humiliating me, and surreptitiously liquidating my gear.
"I want to walk around in the woods, fish, and drink."

I'll give her a call and bid on the the items of interest.

Re: Mrs. Radish has drawn a line in the sand...
ps: I have some hatchery fish in the freezer. You can take some and relocate them to your freezer if it would keep amongst the living at least a little bit longer.

Some water masters? How did one swing that little trick? You really think O-Rad can find a fin clipped fish? Triploids man, go hammer some triploids and put them on the table. One step in the right direction.

Some guy let me borrow one, and some other guy that runs a website I went to once is letting me borrow a couple more

O'Rad, do you want some of this seaweed too?
All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you.

You seem to know two very cool guys. Any chance you've put either or both of them onto any of your secret fish stash yet?

If its meat she wants I say you get a cheapo Okuma gear set up, head to the Puyallup and proceed to floss up something to bbq.

Good idea Terry. Or, if it's blood she's after, you can tell her that said cheapo Okuma set up is your pride and joy - so she'll sell that, be satisfied, and you can return to your blissful ways of catch (or not) and release.
If I am not going to catch fish; I prefer to not catch large wild fish.

Hit Safeway, throw some of those farmed fish in the cooler and say "Honey I brought you some fish". If she is going to see through that, you better get some Powerbait. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. You can have twice the fun by posting a pic here with your stringer loaded up and write a story about an epic day on the Yakima.
Fishing is not an escape; it is a way of engaging everything that matters.

You could just tell her that you caught all these fish, but some crazed asian guy came out of the woods and stole your stringer!

I go with Stewart: Costco sells triploids under the label "farmed raised steelhead". Throw a few packages in the freezer, she'll never know...
