Re: anybody own a b2mx in a 6 wt?
i have fished it quite a bit, its a stout sob that can throw 8 wt stuff. I own the 7 8 and 10, they are all great rods. Were you thinking about the 9 or the 9 6? I dont ever recommend 6 wts for streamer fishing, but if i was this would probably be it. Throw delicacy out the window though, but welcome the wind as a challenge. I wouldnt put a 6 wt line on it, that is for sure. Try the rio clouser 7, it fits like a gem.
All about the brown trout, baby.

I had one for a while. Ended up returning it. It was to fast for me, I like the b2x a lot. BTW- the b3x are on their way soon and I understand that they are fantastic.

Re: anybody own a b2mx in a 6 wt?
The 8wt was one rod I really wanted to like, it's light and feels like it should chuck line. However once you tried to cast any further than 70' it was a dud, 50' to 70' it was fine, not great but fine. If you're looking for a very fast rod I suggest you consider a Sage TCX or Scott s4s, both rods cast amazingly well at distance.
