Ned, Roadhog: Those "flies" ROCK! Very clever, very well done. :thumb:

Great looking flies! Very creative, I would never have that to put together a whole "scene".

I don't think that my fly was the best, but I had fun and I'm excited to get my fingers on some quality feathers. Wish we would have seen more tiers involved.

Kudos to Roadhog for creativity in nativity. He is the reason for the season.

Looking forward to streamers. I am thinking about clousers. Trying to make a good attempt at some south sound forage fish.

Ron, sorry about the pipes. And I was frustrated that I couldn't flush my toilet for 2 days.

    Happy New Year,
    Ned

Congratulations to both competitors in the tying contest.

Ned, I hate plumbing work. I'm a cabinet maker, what am I doing messing with pipes and valves?

Hopefully these guys will let us know how they like the Hackle from Conranch. I'd tell you that it's all I ever use anymore, but I'm biased. Denny and Liz are friends and fishing buddies of mine. Maybe we'll get an unbiased report from the winners.

From a past winner of a conranch hackle you guys are in for a treat. Congratulations Ned and Shad: good job. A collection of flies in each scene I would have never thought of that.

How many flies do we need to tie this month? I think we might have lost one. Creative Christmas flies!

I thought we may have lost one too, but we are still at ten, according to a recent PM.

    Streamers! I love streamers.

My streamers are in the mail tomorrow. I was trying something new and my skills at doing it evolved during the tying. My apologies to anyone who gets one that is sub par, though I think they're all fishable.

Sweet Cal. Looking forward to seeing them. I'll see if I can spot the beginning fly.

Just to clarify, do steelhead flies count as "streamers"?

    Ron,

If you can spot the beginning fly, make sure to send it back to me!

    Calvin1,

Man, I tried to find it, but they all look good to me. I've never seen that variation before. Should be a killer. Nicely done.

Glad you liked it, thanks Ron. I was trying to add bulk to the head in an easier and more material efficient way than spinning hair and came up with this.

    Ron:

New pattern for me. I sent it out today. I tied 12, so feel free to keep the spares.
