I would have thought, based on various past observations, that this site would be a little more evenly split. Funny though.

What's also interesting, is to hear people saying that they are going for McCain as the lesser of two evils--something you don't tend to hear as often I don't think. Although I do run with a considerably more liberal crowd, and so much more often hear the "I'm voting for Obama because he's not as bad as McCain" thing.

Anyway, I'm glad to see us all having a nice, lighthearted bit of jibbing on the subject.

Good stuff.

Man, I was hoping Nader might get at least 5 percent on the site though. :)

Happy fishing and voting. Here's to democracy and civic-mindedness.

The blue team claim to be "Green" but don't fish or hunt or venture outdoors.
Really!? :hmmm: Most "outdoorsy" people I know tend to be more liberal minded and support the "blue team." It's the rednecks who tend to hunt, gear fish and "venture" outdoors in their 4x4 gas guzzling trucks that support the "red team."

Every once in a while someone says something this stupid. Thankfully it is rare that this level of stupidity is hit.

Please see the poll above.
No shit huh? People say the damnedest things.

Maybe he's just making fun of those of us who can't get out fishing because of family/job. You know, because all those red guys are unemployed and can't get laid, they have time to fish.

Yeah, yeah. It's a joke. Red, blue, we all deserve to get laid.

Why do the put labels on people. Left Wing, Right Wing, Red,and Green. Liberals and anti liberals.

Shit, can't we all be just who we are. PEOPLE.

Not in a two party system we can't.

The two political parties and their wonks are the biggest barrier to actually getting anything done in this country. Everyone here, regardless of their moral/political/religious beliefs have far more in common than we do different. The political parties' only goal is to get us to forget that, waste time fighting about pointless crap, and let them continue to steal our money.

Like I said in another thread... Democrats and Republicans are the same thing with different marketing. The only difference is in how they campaign and their target markets. They're both bought and paid for by the same people, and until we can get out of this false left/right paradigm, nothing will change.

Skip the liberals, conservatives, church, business, moms, minorities, mtv'ers and the rest of 'em. If I were running for office I'd just target the rationally ignorant...I win by a landslide.

Josh, Well put.

Regardless of anyone's political leanings, the two party system is becoming a slow death for us (though it's picking up speed). I look forward to the day when we have some others to choose from (and maybe some more interesting mixtures) rather than the lapel pin dems and lapel pin repubs.

That was a "typical blue statement". :beathead:
