Agree on the CLA comments. Have several and all tick like a good clock. Not a Rolex, but still a very good clock.

What do people think about solitude reels?
They match the size of the reel up to the length of your rod.

Nice looking reels at a comparable cost to the CLA 4.
I DO have a CLA5 for my Echo TR 8 wt spey and have stopped huge coho, chum kings and steel and it still works as well as the day I got it

Only thing I have 'against' this type of reel is they've cut away so much of the thing you loose needed weight to balance the rod.

Allen Alpha II 9/10 would be just the right size and balances nicely on a 6wt spey or 8+ wt switch rod. I have a few and like them a lot.

Bauer M4 is a good fit. This model is out of production now but they have an equivalent available.
    Hardys are great too. Classic.

I like the Allen Alpha II's for switch and spey. Good solid and smooth reels with a good price tag.

The Lamson Guru is an amazing reel. I own the #2 and its hands down one of the best reels I own. Very strong and a sealed drag system. Get it you wont be disapointed!
