I guess I didn't describe them quite properly in an earlier ad.

Anyway, four very good to excellent (all excellent, IMHO) condition Lewis Creek waxed cotton jackets, larges and XL's. These are the jackets popular with spey guys, and often seen by English/Scottish guys, etc. A very traditional jacket. My understanding that these are breathable, and if waxed properly, are much more waterproof than Gore Tex.

Go to www.lewiscreek.com, go the fishing area, and look for the waxed cotton midweight Southland jacket. That's what these are. They retail for $319.95.

These are available for $50 each. They come from an estate of a youngish fly fisherman who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last year.

I don't have the southland, but I've been the happy owner of a Lewis Creek waxed cotton shorty wading jacket for almost ten years. To call them "breathable" is debatable. Better than pvc :) but not in the league of the goretex Buck Rogers stuff. Waterproof? Like a sharks you-know-what at 20 fathoms! Definitely more thornproof than the modern stuff. At this price it's a steal! Not for remote hike-ins, but for normal winter steelheading, or for fishing from a watercraft, it is an awesome material, and a must for the "traditionalist".

What's my interest in this? Nothing.
