Slow and low - That is the tempo...Lami Honey prelim report

I was fortunate enough to pick up a sweet sweet little 4wt from a member over on Fiberglass Flyrodders and was fortunate enough for it to arrive today. I was also fortunate enough to line it up and take it out to a local puddle...

here are the stats: Lamiglas Honey 7'6" 4wt 2pc, Airflo Super-Dri Elite WF4F, Redington Drift 5/6, which at 3.9oz empty weight provided perfect balance when lined up, leader was a rag-tag leader which was ~5' of 15lb, ~4' of 8lb, ~2' of 6lb with a beadhead size 8 bugger. Overhead casts = effortless, roll-casts = effortless out to 40' (beyond that, I really had to work and couldn't get much consistency--possibly due in part to my wonky leader).

I'll put it through a real (fish) test during a BWO hatch out on the Deschutes in the near future. If early impressions are any indication, I'm going to really really like this rod.
