I posted a pic of Max's Minnow on here a few weeks back by my 5 year old. Today he came up with his next masterpiece that he "suggested" I put on the "flyfishing page". He loves to see his work on screen. Here it is. He decided to call it a Green Hedgehog; don't ask me why, but he is adamant about the name.

Effective colors and shapes. I'm sure they'll catch fish. Good job for a five-year-old. And good job, Dad! It's a great gift when a dad shares a passion like fly fishing with his son or daughter, heck, with any kid. Wish my father had done that with me. I'm happy to say I was unhooking my son's flies from grass and trees when he was seven or eight. He's almost forty now, and although a military career has kept him in other states and overseas (Iraq at the moment) most of the time, our mutual passion for flyfishing is one of the things that keeps us very close and makes any differences we may have seem puny by comparison.
