Leroy, no one here will talk to you when you speak in that tone with all that attitude.

did someone use this pic already?

    sheeeeitt...sorry..

    seriously though...two pricks and that's it...(and I don't mean the guys I was fishing with..or maybe I do?)

On a river sat with over 8000 fish supposedly, talked to a gear guy who hooked three that morning taking his total to 192 so far on that flow...another fly guy who hooked one early and then saw him with one late...

Three amigotards fished for 9 hours and no hook ups...???...

Well I guess I can say that we couldn't get into any of the decent holding waters but did fish at least two decent runs...damn that river was busy though...

maybe April will thin the herds some..???....

And I got some new fly plans to tie this week...and the fever is still high..

I still have the fever, but haven't had any luck. This winter was worse than my first winter steelheading, I actually caught one that season. No S river or OP love for me this year. I guess I've lost my mojo.

Wow everyone is so sensitive about the plastic fly? Lets make all the bead fisherman happy and call it something catchy like - pretend flies? Fuck Golfman enough with the bad mojo bead talk already. That is the reason you guys blanked - THE BEAD GODS. Man you need to go look at a plastic ball and say you are sorry. Don't you know by now Steelhead wont take a swung fly?

    I like that "I lost my mojo"...lol...

nOpe haven't lost mine yet...can't expect to find a river full of fish and not fisherman..first time this year I've hit the vedder...
seems to only get busier every year and that's why I don't fish it anymore...some nostalgia fishing maybe but I enjoy what i'm doing
and if it was about the numbers I wouldn't be using any goddamn bead...I'd have my pin and roe bag on just like the 300+ guys out there
that day and everyday just about....a bad year with gear would still produce double digit fish and you can fish the whole river versus just
    swing water...

It's funny as there is always that thought in the back of my mind that I could fish so many spots more effectively with gear...but I don't
have that desire to anymore...the struggle might be great but the reward will be as well..

I fished the Vedder on Thursday. I found a bit of water to myself. It wasn't fresh by any means but I was alone. I'll be back this year. At least the Canadians seem to be nice.

    Go Sox,

weekdays aren't as bad...lots of water to spread out on...May turns fly only on the lower section, which has some of the better water...shoot me a pm if your going up again, I know that river from top to bottom, just don't fish it much now when salmon and steel...heard of some spots they are stacking up but you'll be joining the show on weekends..
