Fished my favorite lake this morning. Arrived at first light and was ready to go by the time the gate opened. Thought I would have the lake to my self for a few hours but to my surprise a couple of nice women joined the early bird special. I trolled around for awhile hitting my favorite spots. A bunch of grabs, some LDR's and 4 to hand. Good fish but nothing of real size. I switched up my depth and fished over some submerged stumps that are well hidden this time of year. Missed two big takes before I got one. A nice 18". Even measured it on my float tube netting. In total five fish to hand in 2.5 hours this morning.

A side note to anyone driving on 90 east early in the morning. Watch out for elk. I had three standing in the left lane this morning. Scared the crap out of me when I saw them at 75 m.p.h. Good thing they decided not to cross in front of me, could have been a bad ending.
