Pram-a-thon--Pramorama--Prams on Parade.......Whatever it is called will take place in late September or early October at Lost Lake in the Okonogan. At this point several of us have agreed to go and perhaps a few more pram owners would like to show up and fish for brightly colored brookies among the fall colors. No date is cast in stone yet and I am just now getting a feel for how many would be interested. Ideally we could compare notes and boats, take a few pictures, catch some decent fish and have a big feed on at least one night. I will be bringing both gas and charcoal grills and perhaps enough firewood for a decent evening fire.

Other lakes in the area should provide some fine fishing as well, among them Aeneas, the Blue's, Wanacutt, Sidley and others. Expect warm days and cool nights and hungry fish.

There is a very nice campground at Lost but of course no hookups. It should be pretty empty that time of year and pretty darned quiet.

Let me know if this sounds like something you would like to do and we'll put together a date over the next few months that works best for those attending.

As you already know, I'm in. I'll be putting some new varnish on Pramela when I get back next week. She's nothing spectacular, but she floats. I may scout the lake out when I'm up that first week in September for the grouse opener.

Can we sing Kum-by-yah around the fire, huh, can we, and eat smores...

Count me in. Sounds like a blast and it is a good excuse to get together to meet some of you and catch some fish in a beautiful part of the state during my favorite time of year.

I can only think of a couple of things that MAY keep me from coming. Death or a Methow opener. :thumb:

Do we gotta have a pram or are pontoons that have launched off a tralier and met the asphalt on Highway 20 at 60 MPH acceptable?

    Scott,

This is a pram deal. Either buck up and get a pram or stay at home. We don't want no pontoon boat wannabes.

Totally kidding of course. Sounds like this is a policy decision...and I want no part of it.

This gives me an idea. I wonder how many prams we'd have to sell for this event before ol' Jim at Spring Creek would give me a deal on his new 13 foot boat? :D

Scott pm Yellowlab for details on a Koffler lease to own plan.

I would let you take mine but I'll be too busy chasing salmon in it. See you out there soon.

Nice rig BF4M. Just might check into that lease program. Thank god I can keep all my floating craft in the office basement, hate to have her know how much junk (stuff) I really have.... Never has to see the home turf.

It floats just some bumps and bruises....

Possibly followed with a sip of your favorite beverage.

I have a fresh creation that just needs a seat, and some hardware.

    Hi Ive,

Sounds fun. Sorry I never sent any pictures of my pram to you. Did you build your pram? Keep us posted about this event.

Oh, crap! A custom made wood pram? How am I gonna compete with that? I can't bring my store-bought artificial boat to an event with a wood boat?

Maybe pontoonalooza should be held in Grant county somewhere? Keep some distance between the us and the wannabes.
