A little hope for winter

    Been itching to start fishing for steelhead on the penninsula this winter and thought I should try to tie something up. It's weird to tie flies that already have such set standards of proportion if its off, it just looks weird, even though its probably fine, its just not right.
    Here are a couple of my favorites,the first one I like the best. It's my take on winters hope, tied on an Alec Jackson #7. As the name suggests, I hope one of them finds its way into the mouth of my first steelhead this winter.

    Nicely tied Pat !!! I especially like your prawns, should swing very well.... Good luck this year !!!!
