Holy shit Charles.........your buddy catches muskie on a fly in a river.......that sounds AWESOME.
If your ever gonna be in upstate New York or VT give a jingle. He guides for all species with the possible exeption of muskies. If you know a guy, and you do, he will likely take you out for them.
I've fished 3 days with him for muskies. I have landed one 28 inch muskie and seen him catch one and land one, both much larger. There were also a few memorable follows and strikes. Of course the one day that I fished 10-12 hours I came down with tennis elbow that put me out for 3 months.
Google Stream and Brook for the other species too.
My son-in-law is a superb fisherman but gear only (probably never convert him!) and he said he was going to Lake Tapps last Sunday to catch a Muskie - didn't know we had 'em this far west of the Mississippi!!
Said he had one on last year that he fought for 30 minutes then lost him....jeeeeez!
Haven't talked to him since last Saturday so don't know how he did - I should call......
