Got home for Christmas vacation from school and after a week of Blackmouth fishing in the sound and it slowing down each time I went I decided to head to Pass lake on Thursday, 12-18 a little late on the report. I am glad I did. I knew the water would be cold, about 39 I think it was, but the day was perfect! Absolutely no wind to be felt and fishing was good. My favorite way to fish this lake is throwing streamers at the bank. At times it can be VERY productive, and today was not one of those days but i kept myself busy enough. I finished the day with 7 fish and the three biggest are in the pics below. The brown was the biggest fish I've got on this lake, and when i got home and measured the marks on my rod it taped out at 23 inches, and I'd say probably around 4 or 5 pounds! The best streamer I had that day was on a 5" yeah 5" clouser that was white and purple. My brother ties it for stripers in SC and i decided to give it a go after I had a brown of similar size fallow to my feet and not take on 4 casts in a row. That is one of the reasons I love to fish that way, it's SO visual! The big one took it about three feet off the tip of my pontoon and I had some spectacular takes and a couple of good fights. These fish are pretty spunky right now, and pullin hard with the cold water. Although I think I missed prime streamer time i made it work, and had a great time doin it!

Nice work and great report! Shoreline was pretty empty on Saturday as well...they seemed to like the floor along outer shoals.
