Reading the thread on Alaska Chinook on the fly in the main forum, I realize that I've had a great rod for that use sitting unused for nearly forty years. In 1966, I bought this 9' 2" brown fiberglass Garcia Conolon 10/11 two-piece rod for a salmon fishing trip to Scotland. I used it a few times then, but mostly I fished with spinning tackle. This rod is in excellent condition, with a two-inch detachable butt. I whittled the front of the full wells grip down to a trout rod taper, probably not a good idea. It has the Perfection double-loop guides that were hot stuff at the time. The rod is without bag or tube; I'll buy a PVC tube for shipping. $80 + s&h.

$80 is too much? OK, but have you priced newly made fiberglass rods lately? Make it $60 + s&h.
