had to sell my last driftboat, as an old wrist injury gets aggravated whenever I have to really dig into the oars when things get tight. Having never rowed a pontoon or cataraft, my question is are they much easier/less strain to row then a 16' drift boat?
Would love to get back on the higher river if doable.

Keep it (cat) smaller than 12' and shouldn't prove too difficult to row. Sounds like it's time to take care of just yourself when pulling the sticks, or make someone else row.=)

Your welcome to take one of mine for a spin to see if you can handle it, before having to purchase anything. I have a 14' cat and a 10' cat. (currently making a new 10')

You will be amazed how much easier a pontoon boat rows (as long as it is not a 16' 3 man pontoon!) Have fun! Rick

Buy my 12' two-man cataraft... and it will row like a dream.

I say just jump in someone elses boat and have them do the rowing while you fish. ;)

Salem is less than an hour from Hillsboro (just West of PDX). I'm in Salem almost every other weekend as well.=)
