I am wondering if a Abel Super 10 LA is a good match for Sage ZA 7136?
Anyone out there used this match up?
    Thanks,

What line system are you going to use? It should work fine for Skagit or Scandi. The Abel #3 works fine to a midspey 7/8 and I think that is lower capacity than your reel.

I was thinking of shooting line with an Airflo compact Skagit Head, so don't need huge capacity, but don' wan to have to buy another reel later either.

Abel makes a great product for sure. Something to consiter is Patrick's Fly shop has some Hardy reels for $175. I picked up one a couple of weeks ago. You could get a hardy with new line for the price of an Able Super.

Here is a link to the reels on Hardy's site.

    I think its sizes 4 & 5 they have. I got a 5 for my 8wt and think I'll pick up a 4 for a 7wt I'd like to build soon.

Call Puget Sound Fly, they had a Super 10 in stock at a great price.

Oh yeah, great setup. You could use the Super 10 for heavy saltwater use, too, when you go on a trip to Mexico, Bahamas, Alaska, wherever. Absolutely bomb proof lifetime reels that you can pass on to the next generation of your famiily after you use it for years and years . . .
