I am looking to get a new trout net for my drift boat. I was wondering what nets other people like.

Personally, I'd buy a Fisknat Clark Fork boat net.

I'd second that. Fisknat makes extremely nice frames, and their new, lightweight rubber bags are tops.

I got a rubber mesh boat net from Sportsman's for about 15 bucks. Long handle aluminum frame. It's not pretty, but it works great.

The wood ones do look very nice, though.

This is what I use on my pontoon boat. I prefer them because I make them.

There is a guy on the website that makes beautiful nets I got one for Christmas last year for a boat net. You can order any length handle and size of net so you can get exactly what you want. In addition they are beautiful. Check them out. His screen name is tlcgpw. If you go there it has a link to his website.
    Blessings

Yeah I gave some one a gift on the Kootenai at the Yaak takeout last year when I left it there. Oh well guess God thought I had enjoyed it enough and time for some one else to enjoy it. Mad another using the Measure net guide size net.

I've owned two wood nets, one floated down the Bighorn without me knowing and the other was beat up from the bottom of my boat. I just purchased an aluminum frame/rubber bag net from Hyde for $35.00 which I love. It can get beat up and is cheap enough that should it float down the river I wont feel too bad being out only $35.00. My vote = cheap and not wood!

Thanks guys. I have decided on an aluminum framed, rubber mesh net. The wood does look realy nice, but I am sold on the durability and price of aluminum.
