    Jc,

Check out his website, it tells you how to change them on the "reel" page at the bottom.

    Jc,

Sorry, I didnt see your email in my inbox. To change the reel over.

    1. Unscrew the black lid on the spool that covers the roller bearing
    2. Take the roller bearing out
    3. Flip it around
    4. Put it back in and put the lid back on.

You should be good to go now.

    Thanks

    Justin

The Anti Reverse is done. Well, the first prototype is done. I made it by hand on an old South Bend Lathe in the tool room. Next step is a 3D print and send it to a CNC machine for a machined protoype.

I switched the reels I ordered for my buddy from right to left. To get the bearing out, i just opened the reel up, then slapped the reel down on my hand a few times and the bearing fell out pretty easily.

I bought a pack vest and 2 Alpha reels from Justin. Prices, and quick delivery are great. We are trying to resolve a small issue with both of the Alphas.

    Thanks, Justin,

I'm a bit on the impatient side and when I didn't hear from you for a few days I took the reels to Anil at Puget Sound Fly in Federal Way, Washington and he figured it out right away. I was afraid to put too much torque on anything for fear of breaking a brand new reel but Anil made it look easy....like he does with everything....sheeeesh!

Anyway, thanks for a nice product - I plan on ordering more stuff soon. Going to get started in fly tying soon I hope and will need hooks & things too.

    Regards,

Thanks, Mark....I didn't see your reply until today, 3/18/10 - so had Anil fix 'em for me.

    Thanks again & tight lines,

    Jc

Added 3/30/10, Cassette 5/6 Fly Reel ....... $80.00, Not listed on my website yet

    Please PM me if interested....

I added a Cassette Fly Reel today. You get 2 extra spar spools and a reel case (see photo). The spools are made of polycard plastic (one of the toughest materials to be molded). The spools fit very tight inside the frame.

The drag is the same as my Alpha Series reel. Very dependable and a good value. The price is $80 plus shipping.

    DIM's

    Spool Depth: .482"
    Spool Width: 1.06"
    Spool DIA: 3.54"
    Reel DIA; 3.82"
    Weight: 6.72oz

Justin, what is the weight on that cassette reel with a cassette inserted. Do you sell additional cassettes? I've never had a cassette reel, know you are working on machining some aluminum cassettes too, I'm intrigued! Looks hella light with all that porting.

The weight with a cassette spool in the reel is 6.72 oz. Yes, I'm thinking of getting some alumium cassettes made here soon. Not sure on the price of the cassette by itself, but it wont be much at all. I'll post later when I finalize the spar spool cost.
