Another excellent top water day

  1. I used a modified Delia Squid Slider yesterday and had another excellent top water outing for sea-run cutthroat. I put a mallard flank collar between the foam head and body as shown in photo below.
9 to 10 sea-run cutthoat were landed on the pattern with the largest fish being 15 to 16 inches. However, quite a few of the sea-run cutthroat were small. It was too breezy to fish very many locations.

Steve knapp and I will be going out tomorrow and the weather looks good with little wind. So we should be able to fish numerous prime sea-run cutthroat locations.

  2. Roger, that looks fishy as hell. I like the mallard. In the water it should show like tentacles. I will be chasing toothy critters tomorrow. I hope you and Steve have a stellar day. Give my best to Yellow Sign and Row Boat.
