Just getting a new kayak. It's a Hobie Outback Mirage which I hope will be good for the lakes in Washington. Anyone out there use one of these for fishing? My foster son has one and I used his and it's great for calm inshore ocean fishing. Any comments would be appreciated as far as accessories that are handy would be nice.

I have two in the San Juans. They are great and the kids like to take them out (stable) by themselves.

I have an Adventure. I would suggest the sailing rudder and a Scotty fly rod holder with extension. Also see if you can swap out the standard Hobie paddle for a real paddle. The Hobie paddle isn't too good and if your Mirage drive breaks, the better paddle will make a big difference. The Outback is tough to paddle to start with.
