Another Rod Off the Bench

  1. Just finished another rod. It's a nice 7'2" 2/2 with a nice little cork insert reel seat. It's now time to start on a nice summer steelhead rod.

  2. Very nice! Love the translucent wraps and the single/double on the tips is an excellent feature!
Reel seat and stipping guide are winners also!

  8. Awesome job on the rod, love the way it looks!!!

  9. Thanks for the replies. The reel seat is one made by Bellinger a few years back. It is spalted maple with a cork insert and hardware that I blued.

  12. Michael,

This rod now resides in Japan where I believe it's purpose is to chase cherry trout. I have only seen pictures of these fish, but maybe some day I'll be lucky enough to land a couple myself.
