Any Skoke Reports

  1. Did anyone hit up the skoke for opening day.

    I was there, and there aren't a lot of fish yet. They haven't moved up above the mouth of Purdy Creek where I find it a lot more room to fish with flies. There is a nice stretch below the island where the fish are holding toward the road side. If you know where I am talking about, you will know what I'm talking about. If I were visiting the area, I'd wait until after the next moon.

    Awesome! So is that what people are targeting on the Skoke? Where you targeting them or steelhead?

    Yes, we were targeting Kings. It would rare to find a steelhead in the lower section of river though it does happen.

    We are talking about the Skokomish river (most people abreviate it as Skok) but here in Mason County, who knows. It is at the lower end of Hood Canal.
    And Nick, that's one nice fish :thumb:
