I would like to head over on Monday morning if there isn't smoke in the area. I have been on the Lochsa when it was smokey and it was no fun, I don't want to repeat that experience. If you have any information on this please let me know in the next few days.

The Mustang fire in the N/F of the Salmon is almost 300,000 acres. Here in Dillon we have smoke almost every day. And we are 3 mountain ranges away from those fires. I would like to breathe some clear air but I would have to travel a long way to do it.

Going fishing tomorrow. Maybe the hills I will be in will block all the smoke. One can only hope.

The NOAA weather visible satellite photos show smoke in all of the river valleys to the east of Lewiston.

I was over on the Joe on Tuesday and Wednesday and the only smoke was from my campfire. I drove to about 30 miles above Avery and it was all clear.

Several of us here were in the NF Clearwater/Kelly Creek area last weekend. Sunday was especially hazy/smoky until an afternoon wind blew it away to the east.
