Emails sent. The other day I say steelhead on the menu in a restaurant in NY. Turns out it was farmed trout from Argentina. Too bad that steelhead is used as a marketing tool to make farmed raised trout sound more appealing. IT confuses the issue with true steelhead being served.

Rufus Woods net pen triploids are also marketed as steelhead and even 'Columbia River Steelhead'. I would love to get a law passed prohibiting that!

No response yet to me. Not even an auto generated one. I'd like to hear thier thoughts on this. We should have the rays guy call mccormick and tell em its not worth it to have steelhead on the menu.

One idea: Perhaps we should suggest these restaurants turn to selling "Columbia River Steelhead" which are net pen raised triploids sold as steelhead. The consumers who are dumb enough to buy wild steelhead certainly won't be smart enough to tell a difference.
