Assault XX anchor system for moving water -Ideas please

    Would appreciate all ideas on how to anchor my new Assault xx 2 person in moving waters.

    I'm hoping you mean SLOWLY moving water. The Scotty anchor mount will work, but when I am floating, I usually bring the anchor in the craft if the water is knarly. And, have a sharp knife REAL handy.

    I drifted the Cowichan River down to my place once so far with the Scotty System and the straps slipped a lot. I'm thinking of strapping down a solid piece of plywood on the back to mount the anchor lock on using the back and closest side "D" Rings. I was able to hold in fairly quick water using a couple of old rotors as an anchor. My only problem was the slipping of the straps. Yes I have a very sharp knife at the ready at all times. Bringing the anchor aboard in white water is a good idea . Although the Anchor mount held great on my initial drift I will take your suggestion in future. Wouldn't want it to deploy in rapids for sure.
