This was my Great Aunt's Heddon rod built, I believe in the late 30's or early 40's. It hadn't been strung up since at least the late 60's and I figured it was about time it saw a little action. Although the searun cutt' I found yesterday is a small one, I believe my aunt would have been proud! I caught only one more cutthroat a little later in the day, but ran across these bear tracks to help top off a special time on the river yesterday.
The reel is a Youngs from the mid 30's.

Looks like a nice Perfect reel to match up with a classic rod!

Very nice. However it wasn't the Aunt Peg fishing porn I was hoping for:)
  5. Bamboo is really nice to fish with. Nice that you brought the rod back to life with a worthy fish.
