Didn't mean to suggest it was, just remember reading that was the states definition. I have caught smaller steelhead.

Send that out to the MT fly shop's and tell them to eat their hearts out. That's a great looking fish. I've said it before, the Yak is way under-rated IMO.

This may very well be the best bit of out of context theater I've ever seen before:

    Also: great fish Mr McNasty.

Um....sure.....except for the part where he had two cracks at a beast on streamers in the same spot on two separate occasions prior.

I think atomic was saying that just reading the referenced line to someone without context would be hilarity and I agree that it is a killer out of context statement.

The second pic is better. You can get a sense of it's size. It didn't look that big in the first photo, likely because of the angle.

thats what i thought, but i just set my phone down with a 10 second timer set, get a couple pics and release the fish before i even make sure they came out good, so im pretty pleased they came out at all. and as for the actual size, its went about 3" past the 24" mark i made on my rod. . . .so you guys do the math:D

If that's over 20 inches that's a steelhead so why is it out of the water?

did you know that once a chum hits 30 lbs. it will transform into a chinook? so if you ever catch a 30+ lb. chum its actually really a chinook, so better check the regs!

Don't be mad at me you broke the law just for a hero shot. Even it's not a steelhead as you claim a fish like that deserves more respect. Steelhead already have a hard enough time they don't need every yahoo lifting them out of water.

I know the regs it's says sea run rainbow over 20 is a steelhead. You just claimed that was a 27 inch fish so by the state that's a steelhead. Plus you have no way to tell if that's a resident or sea run fish so why take it out? Oh wait you have to get a hero shot can't forget that

The absolute only way you can be sure you won't hurt a fish when you catch it is not to fish.

That's an awesome fish! Don't post anything on this forum. There are a lot of assholes. People make mistakes people. A gentle reminder is just fine.
