bamboo spey - from Shamburg-Donohue

    Just saw this from the FB, Mark's bamboo looks fantastic and now it looks like a great casting rod too.

    BTW Fred, if you got any chance to test Steve's glass rod, please post here and let us know how that feel.... I am really itchy about glass switch rods!

    OH SOOOOOO YES! A total 'CrakerJack' as a switch with a poly leader and lightly weighted fly. Rod's 'rated,' Steve's best guess, as a 6/7 and casts a dream. Total hoot with "Fish On!"

    If memory serves Steve found 6 of these blanks and needed one of them for a rod repair and built out at least a couple that I know of. No clue if he has any left, a total joy (think Bamboo type action) to cast.

    I have had a chance to fish mark's rods and reels over the years. He does some great work!

    I also like Mark's cane and his reels. he builds nice tackle.
