I am considering a trip to fish for bass at Potholes resevior. Does anyone have any advice regarding flies and tactics?? I've never fly fished for bass (but used to gear fish for them).

Do you have a boat? If so, check with Mike at MarDon Resort about the location of some of the habitat boxes that he and other volunteers install each year to provide a refuge for juvenile fish. Word has it that there is good bass fishing around the habitat boxes and he might share the location of some of them with you. Here's a link to info on the project: http://www.cwfac.org
