Battery

    Picked up a MinnKota 34lb thrust today for the pontoon boat, ( Sportsman 9 ) would like to stick with a group 24 battery, what are the thoughts on it for that motor ? I will probably fish 6-8 hours at a time, mostly trolling slow or just paddling part of the time. The 27's are pretty heavy ,and big.

    If you plan on trolling 6-8 hrs at a time, I'd go with the 27. A few extra pounds beats running out of juice on the other side of the lake and the winds up...

    There is a big difference at only maybe 6 more pounds, I say go with the 27 also:
